The Under the Hill Ranch is a historic 10,700 acre cattle ranch located on the Mescalero Ridge at the western edge of the Caprock near Tatum, New Mexico. With its great improvements, excellent water, good feed, and easy access this working cowman’s ranch is easy to manage and produces heavy calves with additional seasonal yearling production.

This ranch is well watered with four wells with three submersible pumps and one windmill.   Several miles of pipeline serving three drinkers in the cap pasture, two drinkers in the big sand pasture, two drinkers in camp pasture, one drinker in the south pasture and 20,000 gallons of storage.   In addition, there is one dirt tank, one well at the main house and one well with a submersible pump at the ranch house. The third ranch house has its own well.  A final well is located in the sand hills.   Approximately ten miles of pipeline with numerous drinkers and 50,000 gallons of storage make this ranch easy to rotate cattle and maximize utilization of seasonal feed.

Black & Black/Baldy bred to registered Angus Bulls produce fine calves with average shipping weights of 700-800 lbs. Trophy mule deer and world class quail hunting exist on the ranch.
